Boston Public Health Commission: The Moss Project

The Moss Project is a youth-driven initiative aimed at combating the prescription drug misuse epidemic in Boston. Collaborating with the Mayor’s Mural Crew and the Mayor’s Youth Council, the Boston Public Health Commission aims to create environmentally-friendly public art projects that raise awareness about prescription drug abuse dangers while challenging stereotypes associated with addiction. Using moss graffiti, a recent trend in street art that uses living moss to write on the walls of public spaces, The Moss Project and its messaging will become a living, breathing part of the community fabric while educating teens.
