Communications Planning Webinar

Event Date:
Thursday, December 8, 2016 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Substance use prevention is important, life-saving work – and your community needs to know about what you are doing to make a difference. In order to be effective, you need the tools to develop and communicate clear, accurate messages that resonate with your audience. Communications isn’t an “extra” – it’s integral to the work that you are already doing.
MassTAPP’s interactive, online toolkit takes coalitions and community partners through a step-by-step process of developing and communicating messages to support and sustain the outcomes identified in your strategic plans. This webinar provided an opportunity to learn more about using this toolkit in your communications planning. This webinar provided an opportunity to ask questions about how this model can be used in YOUR communities.  Our presenters -  Carl Alves, Lauren Gilman, and Ben Spooner from MassTAPP -  provided:

  • An overview of the communications planning process
  • Suggestions on how to adapt it to your community needs
  • Upcoming technical assistance opportunities and ways to access communications planning TA going forward as you work through the planning process
