The Center for Strategic Prevention Support

We provide technical assistance (TA) and resources to Massachusetts communities seeking to prevent and reduce the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), CSPS offers BSAS-funded programs the supports they need to implement and sustain effective prevention programming. The Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)

is a five-step planning model developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The SPF was developed to help local communities select, implement, and evaluate evidence-based substance misuse prevention processes and interventions that are culturally appropriate and sustainable.
