Selecting and Prioritizing Intervening Variables and Strategies

Event Date:
Tuesday, May 12, 2015 - 9:30am to 11:00am

Intervening variables are factors identified in prevention science literature as being related to opioid misuse, including risk and protective factors in your community. Identifying these factors and prioritizing those that are most relevant and present within your community is a critical part of the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) planning process you and your cluster communities' are currently engaged in.
In this webinar, Scott Formica, Social Science Research & Evaluation, Inc. (SSRE), provided an overview of prioritizing intervening variables (IVs)and strategies as it relates to MOAPC strategic plans.  Beyond this overview, we dug deeper into the process of making the connection between these prioritized IVs and the selection of appropriate strategies.
