Alejandro Rivera has been the Program Manager for the Prevention Department at Bay State Community Services and the Program Director of Impact Quincy, a community coalition based in Quincy since 1995. In this capacity, Mr. Rivera has oversees the research, policy development, strategic planning and program development of all prevention efforts undertaken by Bay State Community Services. Prior to joining Bay State Community Services, Mr. Rivera oversaw research, planning and development of prevention programs for high-risk adolescents in the Lowell, Massachusetts community through the Community-University Partnership at the University of Massachusetts. For the last 15 years, Mr. Rivera, a Chilean native, has been involved and participated in a number of Advisory Boards at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He has testified before the Massachusetts State House on tobacco and other substance abuse issues as well as at a number of Massachusetts Department of Public Health-sponsored events.
